Build fluency before adding time pressure
ESAT preparation works best when core mathematical techniques are already reliable. Lessons first remove avoidable algebraic or conceptual errors, then introduce increasingly difficult mixed problems under tighter time constraints.
Reason through unfamiliar questions
The aim is not simply to collect more formulas. Students practise interpreting unfamiliar setups, selecting efficient routes and checking whether an answer is mathematically plausible before committing time to a long calculation.
Diagnostics in development
The dedicated ESAT diagnostic bank is still in development. One-to-one and small-group ESAT tuition are already available, and original practice can be used inside lessons while the diagnostic system is completed.
