How the TMUA diagnostic works
Paper 1 and Paper 2 are generated independently from large private question banks. Each paid attempt receives a fresh balanced selection of 20 questions, so students are not simply repeating the same fixed paper. Paper 1 samples all seven syllabus groups (six groups with 3 questions and one with 2); Paper 2 samples all six reasoning groups (two groups with 4 questions and four with 3).
The assessment is completed under a 75-minute timer. On submission, the system produces an analytical report covering score and accuracy, topic and subskill performance, active timing, response-pattern signals, revision priorities and question-by-question review.
Analytical reporting, benchmarking and a four-week plan
The student receives the full analytical report and CF Maths receives the corresponding tutor copy by email. The report shows the exact random form composition, strengths, weaknesses, skill/subskill signals, pacing evidence, traps to check, a four-week revision plan and question-by-question worked review.
The report also includes official 2025–26 TMUA cohort reference points from UAT-UK. UAT-UK does not publish fixed grade boundaries or a pass mark, so CF Maths clearly separates its internal diagnostic band from the official 1.0–9.0 equated TMUA scale.
Secure progress dashboard
After completing a diagnostic, students can open a passwordless dashboard using the same email address. The dashboard stores completed attempt summaries, score history, combined topic trends, latest priorities and the current four-week study plan.
This makes a second diagnostic useful as a progress check rather than an isolated score: students can see whether weak topics, raw score and pacing evidence are actually improving.
Choose one paper or both
Paper 1 and Paper 2 can be purchased separately for €30 each. The combined diagnostic is €50 and unlocks one attempt at each paper, which can be completed in either order.
